Pee Wee Pre-School
Mon–Fri, 9am–12:30 pm
Philosophy and Daily Routine
Our philosophy is to provide creative learning experiences for young children. Daily schedules will provide opportunities for children to explore fine art, music, foreign language skills, gross motor activities, imaginative play, literature, and math experiences to prepare for kindergarten. The children will also spend time everyday exploring learning centers and taking part in circle time. Young children learn in unique ways, which is why we believe in providing a variety of learning opportunities early on. We believe in the creative process and want children to grow and flourish in that setting. This approach will help your child learn in a creative and supportive setting.
Staff
Our dedicated staff is highly experienced working with this age group and is sensitive to children who are being dropped off for the first time. All staff members are either childcare professionals or education majors with relevant education or recreation experience. All staff members have attended training at LSF and have CPR & First Aid certifications.
Swimming
Participants will have swim lessons built in everyday, during the summer. Safety is our number one priority and a lifeguard is always present. Swim time is a great way to help little ones get used to being in the water. Lakeshore will provide swim belts which each child will wear during the entire session.
Snacks
We will offer a variety of snacks each day. Please do not send food or drinks with your child. This is for the safety of all children, in case of food allergies. If your child has special food requirements, please inform the Program Director before their first day in the program.
What to bring?
Each child should bring a back-pack that they can carry each day. The back-pack should include diapers, wipes, a bathing suit, swim diapers if still needed and a spare change of clothes. If your child needs a Sippy cup for snack time, please send one. All items MUST be labeled. Please limit any excess belongings. The Pee Wee Program is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.
Registration
You may return your application to the front desk, fax it to 773.348.6379, or email it to CaleyW@lakeshoresf.com. We recommend registering for at least 2 days per week to help your child gain familiarity with the program which will enhance their experience, however, this is not required. You will receive a welcome packet by email with additional details at the time of registration. Please be sure to provide your email address on the registration form.
