School Days Out Camp
What is School Days Out Camp?
The School Days Out Camp is Lakeshore’s September-to-May camp option that keeps your kids active and engaged on days when school is not in session. We offer an exciting day of programming that makes full use of our facility, neighborhood, and wonderful staff.
What Will My Child Do at Camp?
Everything! Counselors and Lakeshore staff specialists lead your child in a variety of fun activities. School Days Out Camp is modeled after our Fun N Sun Camp and Adventure Camp programs and includes many summertime favorites: swimming, sports, dance/tumbling, art & crafts, games at Jonquil Park, and field trips for our week long sessions. Children are grouped by age/grade and participate in age appropriate activities.
How Do the Field Trips Work?
Field trips happen every Friday of winter and spring break. Buses leave no later than 9:30am and return by 2:30pm. All buses are equipped with seat belts. Field trips are offered at no extra cost!
Who Will My Child’s Counselors Be?
Our staff is carefully selected. Counselors at Lakeshore are teachers and education students with extensive camp and recreation experience. All Camp staff completes the rigorous Lakeshore Sport & Fitness safety training program, which includes CPR certification.
What Should My Child Bring to Camp?
Campers should bring a swimsuit and bagged lunch – we’ll provide the rest. Please label all of your child’s belongings. We are not responsible for lost or misplaced items.
What Time Does the Camp Run?
School Days Out Camp runs from 9am to 3pm.
Pre Camp and After Camp options extend the day from 7:30am to 6pm, and are available at an additional cost.
Will tennis be a component of the Camp?
Tennis instruction is available as an option for School Days Out Camp during our week long winter and spring break sessions. Your child can participate in either an AM or PM (or both!) hour long lesson with a Lakeshore Tennis Pro for a small additional fee. This allows your child time to develop essential tennis skills while still enjoying a full day of Camp!
